It’s that time of year!! Christmas is upon us! We have compiled a list of eleven spots all around the Denver Metro for you to enjoy the beautiful holiday light displays. If you check some of these out be sure to tell us which one you went to and how it was!
1. Electric Safari (4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd. Colorado Springs)
Spread over 50 acres Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has over 85 light sculptures and tons of massive light displays. Plus did we mention how much we love that zoo!
2. Zoo Lights (2300 Steele St. Denver)
The Denver Zoo spreads over 70 acres and has not only some of the best lights in Denver, but also a special section with Santa, live entertainment and many, many more magical surprises for kids and families of all ages.
3. RockinChristmas (1021 Neptunite Place Castle Rock)
Started in 2008 this neighborhood display is not your typical light display. From Disney’s Frozen “Do You Want To Build a Snowman”, to Star Wars, Uptown Funk and dueling banjos, this light display is sure to please everyone!
4. A Hudson Christmas (6115 S Santa Fe Dr. Littleton)
Hudson Gardens goes all out in their light display. With thousands of twinkling lights, horse drawn carriage rides, and a special Santa House for the kids to sit on his lap, the Hudson Gardens is always a hit.
5. The Greeley Grizwalds (354 50th Avenue Court Greeley)
This house in Greeley has over 135,000 lights for you to enjoy! Synchronized to music, that you can broadcast through your radio, this houses is sure to entertain you! This families light display runs the day after Thanksgiving thru New Years Day.
6. “Winter Wonderland” (26 Rd. near I-70 Grand Junction)
Decorated with thousands of lights and tons of lighted animals this display makes the western slope even more beautiful!
7. Garden of Lights (2145 Centre Ave. Fort Collins)
Considered to be Northern Colorado’s best holiday tradition this light display is simply dreamy. With thousands of lights in every configuration imaginable this display will be one to return to year after year.
8. Blossoms of Light (1007 York St. Denver)
Located at the Denver Botanic Gardens this interactive light display has you gazing at the lights through HoloSpex glasses at thousands of LED lights. With warm hot cocoa and freshly roasted almonds, this event will take your breath away.
9. 2461 Mapleton Circle (Longmont)
This residential display is sure to please your kids! Full of thousands of sparkling lights and blow up characters they will be ooh-ing and aww-ing for years to come!
10. Yuletide Lights Driving Tour (Estes Park)
This Estes Park tradition is a combination of small business and homes. Enjoy all the lights from the warmth and comfort of your car while playing some holiday music.
11. Chatfield’s Botanical Gardens Trail of Lights (8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Road Littleton)
Go enjoy the illuminating lights as you walk along the path through the gardens along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. There is also a magical enchanted forest, animal sculpture lights, illuminated tractors, synchronized lights and a children’s play area as well as refreshments and snacks.
